How to Integrate Echo AI with Okta for Single Sign-On (SSO)

Set up Okta SSO with Echo AI. Follow steps to configure SAML 2.0, add user attributes, and integrate for secure authentication.

Integrating Okta with Echo AI for Single Sign-On (SSO) provides a seamless authentication experience. Follow these steps to configure the integration:

Okta-side Configuration

Prerequisite:

  • Ensure you have an Okta organization set up already (e.g., yourcompany.okta.com).

  1. Create a new app Integration:

    • Sign in to your organization's Okta account

    • Navigate to Applications > Create App Integration

    • Select SAML 2.0 as the integration type.

  2. Enter the SAML Configuration Settings:

    • SSO URL: https://app.pathlight.com/authentication/saml2/<yourcompany>/acs/

    • SP Entity ID: https://app.pathlight.com/authentication/saml2/<yourcompany>/metadata/

    • Name ID format: EmailAddress

    • Application username: Email

      Note: The SSO URL and SP Entity ID are unique to your organization. The <yourcompany> can be found in the URL you use for Echo AI

  3. Add User Attributes:

    • Required attributes:

      • email

      • first_name

      • last_name
        ​

  4. Finish App Integration Setup

  5. Using the Assignments tab, add your users to the app integration.

  6. Retrieve IDP Metadata:

    • In the app integration settings, find the SAML 2.0 View Setup Instructions button and click on it.

    • Find and copy the IDP metadata.

  7. Share Metadata with Echo AI:

    • Send the copied IDP metadata to Echo AI at support@echoai.com.
